Sainsbury's Sport Relief Bag
For 'Lambie-Nairn'

Sport Relief is when the British public comes together to get active, raise money and change lives. Since Comic Relief and Sainsbury’s teamed up in 1999, Sainsbury’s have raised over £100m to help fund incredible work in the UK and some of the world’s poorest countries. Each year for Comic Relief’s ‘Sport Relief’ Sainsbury’s sell an array of goodies including official T-shirts, wristbands and socks to raise donations for Sport Relief.

As one of Sainsbury’s lead roster agencies Lambie-Nairn were asked to come up with fun promotional carrier bags that would increase sales of their promotional merchandise (3p from each bag sold also went to Sport relief).

I took the Sport Relief socks (one of their biggest sellers) and turned them into talking sock puppets. With the copyline “Do we run in the wash? No silly, we run in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief mile!” I tried to raise awareness of their fund raising events at the same time.
