We were asked to provide guidance on naming and to create a new brand identity and brand hierarchy. Part of the challenge would be in presenting a diverse range of offerings to a diverse client base while maintaining a strong cohesive brand over all. Inspiration for the new branding came in feathered form. We spotted no less than eight Kingfishers in a single afternoon’s paddleboarding and, being stunningly agile, yet beautiful and serene, the bird seemed like the perfect mascot for Riverside South Downs. A new logo was crafted that nestled the Kingfisher into the counter of Riverside’s initial R. We also created a new illustrated visual style as a serene yet flexible backdrop. We then rolled out the new brand package across a wide range of applications including bespoke metal signage, banners, menus, stationery, uniforms, vehicle branding, leaflets and social media assets. On completion of the project owner Terry said: “Working with Susan has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Embarking on our complete rebrand was quite daunting, however Susan took the time to understand our business ethos and developed our new brand accordingly, which far exceeded our expectations.
